Sign Up and Installation Instructions

Thanks for trying out our backup software! This post will contain instructions and images to guide you through the process.

Start by going to our sign up page ( ) On that page, click the link to sign up for the 14 day Home Trial. You will arrive at a screen that looks like the following.

Enter your name, email address, and password. Remember to read the terms and check the box, and then click “Sign Up”.

After you sign up, you will be brought to a dashboard and a pop-up window will allow you to download the software.

Software Setup

This page of instructions will focus on the Windows Download, although the Mac Download process is similar. Clicking the Download button will download the installation software to your computer. Running the installation will quickly take you through the basic information needed, such as the language of installation, the License Agreement, and the Install location. Upon completion of the installation, the program will automatically launch and bring you to a log in screen where you can enter the email address and password you selected when you signed up.

After signing in, you will be able to select the data you wish to back up. The “Smart Selection” tab allows you to select types of files to backup.

Select your file types or common locations.

As you select common locations or types of data, the bar at the bottom left will show you have much data you have selected and how much total you have available. Note that the free Home Trial only allows for 2 GB of data to be backed up. You can also click the “My Computer” tab and browse to any location you wish and backup data there.

Clicking the “Next” button at the bottom brings you to a basic settings page, where you can adjust certain aspects, such as the speed of the backup, the schedule, and “Hybrid”. Hybrid is used if you are also backing up to an external hard drive. Selecting “Setup Hybrid+ allows you to configure the external drive you wish to backup to.

Clicking “Next” will finalize the settings, and clicking “Done” will then begin the backup process. You will be able to view the status on the Dashboard page of the software.

Web-Based Dashboard

To access the web-based dashboard, please go to Sign in with the email and password you registered with.

The dashboard page gives lots of information about your backup(s), as well as the ability to connect additional services. The main page appears as shown:



In order to upgrade your account to a permanent paid subscription, you will need to contact us so that we can help determine your specific needs. Clicking the “Upgrade” button that appears in different areas will open up a web form, where you can enter basic information and the reason you are contacting us.

To determine the best plan for your needs, the following information will be needed:

  • Number of different users – all the computers in your household can be under your own account, or you can set up different logins for each user.
  • Total amount of storage space needed
  • Number of Mobile Devices that you want on the plan.

Once we have that information, we can determine which package is best suited for you and make arrangements for payment.
